I've been a blogging machine lately. On my personal blog I've managed to blog about my day for a whole week. My goal is to run that for a month. It's partly cathartic and partly to practice writing at least a little bit. I've also been doing a rewatch of Blakes 7 and doing reviews of each episode as I go. If you'd like to check it out go to www. Stewartfelkel.blogspot.com.
I've been debating two things lately. One, creating a new blog just to handle my reviews. The advantages are several fold. One, it increases my web presence a little more. Two, it seperates my reviews into a format that is specific to that. Three, I can always monetize and maybe make a little extra income. The downside is them I'd have three blogs to keep up with and I can barely manage two.
The second thing I'm debating is whether it not to continue By the Fire. I know there has only been one issue but it has not been inspiring. I can't give the thing away. And when I have I got a fairly negative review. Partly it's the format. It's very serialized. The upsides to continuing with it is that it forces me to write daily for a deadline. Anything published as part of a series can always be compiled later. The downside is that things get mind of scattered this way. I could probably churn out a novella once every 30-45 days if I went another direction. That leaves my shorts kind of orphaned though. I'm debating going ahead with issue two and seeing if things improve or just pulling the plug and redirecting my energies. This format seems to work for Dean Wesly Smith. But I'm not him unfortunately. That man has a prolific word count.
Anyway. Thoughts anyone? I'd really love to hear.
