I've said before that I'm one of the slowest writers that I've ever seen but all things considered this could shape up to be a productive year. I'm working on putting out an anthology of short fiction in the next few months. I'm almost done with the rough draft of Carrier, a zombie story, that looks like it'll be right around 10k words. Once that's done, with some edits of course, I have a thriller entitled Thy Judgement Come that needs some attention. It's been on the back burner for ages now and in sure that the young couple being tormented by a murderous psychopath would love a resolution soon. When I finish that, which who knows how long that will take, I intend to do some heavy re-editing of Offerings. I love that story but I've learned a lot since I wrote it and it could use some fixing up. From there I intend to put those three pieces together with some other short works to make up Encounters.
After Encounters goes up my first novel, Blackthorn Knights, can finally get my attention back. It's a good old fashioned sword and sorcery story mixed with some military fantasy. It concerns a small group of warriors rebelling against a tyrannical empire. I wrote the first draft last year and then had some line edits done by my high schools senior English teacher. I need to go back through and do some story edits. If anyone would like to do some beta reading then let me know. My friend Moffet has agreed to do some cover art for me which excites me to no end. He is one of the most talented artists I've ever met.
From there I have several projects in mind. The sequel to Blackthorn Knights. Another novel/novella work entitled Walk With Me. I even have a young adult superhero story in mind complete with capes and campy names! It's going to be epic. Well, at least entertaining. All this writing frenzy will probably slow down once school starts back up. Marching band tends to dominate ones time. Ah the life of a band director.
Anyway, stay tuned to this site for more updates and first looks as they come along. I'm going to try to put up some samples of upcoming works this week or next.
